A Merrier Christmas for Children, Thanks to Newpark Employees

In years past, employees at the Newpark Corporate office in the Woodlands held a gift exchange as part of the office holiday celebration -- exchanging small gifts with co-workers. But that tradition has changed and has become much more meaningful the past two years: rather than spending money on gifts for each other, our employees purchased toys for children at Texas Children's Hospital as part of a toy drive for hospitalized children.
Patients range in age from newborns to older teens who won't be home for Christmas, and employees at Newpark joined other organizations in the community to purchase gifts for them. Following a very successful toy drive leading up to the office holiday party, Newpark employees delivered a large number of toys and games to the hospital, where Santa Claus distributed them personally. Each child received a 13-gallon-size trash bag filled with toys!
For everyone at Newpark who participated in the toy drive, it was a special way to make the holidays a little brighter for everyone at Texas Children's Hospital, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in years to come.
