Newpark is fully committed to delivering best-in-class reservoir solutions to our customers. Newpark has invested in personnel, equipment, software, research and development at its reservoir services laboratory in Katy, Texas.
Measuring permeability is a critical step for designing reservoir drill-in fluids (RDF) and breaker technology.
Our laboratory is also designed with porosimeters to analyze quantifiable aspects of the reservoir's porous nature, such as pore diameter, total pore volume, surface area and bulk density. Scanning electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction provide visual and quantitative analysis of the reservoir mineral composition.
This information is useful in the selection process for clear brine fluids to be used in the RDF and clear-brine fluid based on formation-specific requirements.
